The three-metre sculpture Pieta, paying tribute to the glass it self, is situated in the park of the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou. The work was created in response to the museum’s initiative to expand its outdoor gallery on the occasion of the institution’s 120th anniversary this year.
The ceremonial unveiling was conducted by the museum’s director, Ing. Milada Valečková, together with the chief curator, PhDr. Petr Nový, Ph.D., who played a significant role in selecting both the theme and the location of the glass and metal artwork.
